3 Ways to Style a Button Up
Button ups are a such a good staple piece for any closet! They are great to layer and a good transition into spring. So with that said, I decided to show you 3 ways to style a button up.
Now you really could use pretty much any button up you have in your closet, but I'm using one I recently got at Target that I love! (This top was also part of the Target try on I did recently) I grabbed the olive green color but it also comes in a pinky/red and gray color and for $20 it's a must have!
First up is a layering option for winter. I love this look of layering a vest over a button up for everyday life! It is easy, comfortable and cute, what more could you ask for? I also like mixing patterns and prints so I choose to add my leopard espadrilles with this look. If mixing prints isn't your style a simple black or brown shoe would also look really cute!
Next up is what I consider more of a boyfriend/relaxed look. Leaving the button up open and layering a tank underneath is another easy and cute way to style this shirt. Now because I'm leaving the shirt unbuttoned and baggy I like to make sure other pieces of my outfit are more form fitting so everything isn't baggy. I did skinny jeans here but you could also do a boyfriend fit jean with a tight tank tucked in! And for shoes for this one I choose to just add a pop of color with pink suede mules. :)
And last, you know I had to do a spring look! I love this look and there are so many ways you could tweak it to fit your style. I decided to pair the button up over a simple cotton black dress but you could easily do this look with high-waisted skirt if you prefer. I think these sneaker slides make the look a little more sporty and again are a good shoe to use for transitioning into spring.
